Make a House a Home for a

In plain English, aging-in-place means remaining in one’s home safely, independently, and comfortably, regardless of age or ability level. It means the pleasure of living in a familiar environment throughout one’s maturing years, and the ability to enjoy the familiar daily rituals and the special events that enrich all our lives. It means the reassurance of being able to call a house a “home” for a lifetime.

The majority of Americans over the age of 45 want to continue living in a familiar environment throughout their maturing years. According to the AARP, older homeowners overwhelmingly prefer to age in place, which means living in your home safely, independently and comfortably.

We lived in a normal two-story house. However, as a man with a deteriorating back disability, I was finding the frequent trek upstairs to my bed increasingly long and painful. My family and friends were seeing less and less of me until we got together with Sycamore Builders. We now live in a beautiful custom built home designed to accommodate my physical limitations while allowing the rest of the family to function smoothly. Sycamore Builders practical ideas, foresight, and management allowed me to build a wonderful home that suits my special needs. Thank you, Larry

We have had Sycamore Builders do two additions to our home. In both cases, the workmanship was careful and to a high standard. The construction was started when agreed to and concluded in a timely fashion. We would highly recommend them to any and all who value high quality, responsible, prompt and guaranteed work.

In the nine years since they designed and built my retirement home, I have had Sycamore Builders Construction finish a recreation room in my daylight basement and add a three season sunroom. I really enjoy relaxing in my sunroom and the recreation room is great for family activities and gatherings. I have been very satisfied with their service and professionalism.
